Daud Ismail 2024-11-19T02:22:59+00:00 Abd. Haris Haris abd.haris1890@gmail.com Nurfaika Nurfaika nurfaika@unisad.ac.id
This essay explains the Nusantara interpretation, specifically the Al-Munir Tafsir authored by AGH Daud Ismail, a prominent Bugis scholar from South Sulawesi. The interpretation plays a significant role in conveying Quranic messages in alignment with the social conditions surrounding the exegete. This study aims to investigate and analyze selected Quranic verses, subsequently examining their significance within the local societal context. The research employs a qualitative methodology utilizing literary review techniques, with a focused analysis of the Bugis Al-Munir Tafsir. Moreover, a phenomenological approach is utilized to establish connections between textual interpretation and social contexts. The article’s findings reveal that AGH. Daud Ismail developed a contextual interpretation model that demonstrates profound sensitivity to the social dynamics of Bugis society. This is evident in the strategic selection of Lontarak linguistic expressions readily comprehensible to the Bugis community. This research discovered that the Al-Munir Tafsir transcends mere translation and interpretation of the Quran based on the exegete's immediate requirements; instead, its interpretative approach facilitates the community's understanding of the Quranic text. Specifically, this research highlights the author's utilization of local language and linguistic expressions as a methodological strategy to transform Quranic messages into the cultural reality of Bugis society. This study is anticipated to contribute to enriching the scholarly landscape of Nusantara tafsir studies by presenting an interpretation model that is responsively attuned to the social contexts of the Bugis community in South Sulawesi, with broader implications for advancing more contextual and inclusive interpretation methodologies.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Abd. The background of this study highlights the need for innovative approaches to enhance both the intellectual retention and spiritual understanding of the Qur’an in diverse age groups. The objective is to analyze how the Yadain Method, emphasizing visualization and tadabbur (reflective contemplation of meanings), contributes to effective and holistic Qur’anic memorization. Employing a case study qualitative method, the research explores the implementation and impact of the method on participants at the Executive Tahfidz Center Yogyakarta. Key components of the method include cognitive aids such as color-coded visualizations and structured exercises, which facilitate rapid memorization and long-term retention. The findings reveal that this approach not only improves memorization efficiency but also fosters mental tranquility and spiritual growth, benefiting learners across various educational levels. The study introduces a novel framework for Qur’anic memorization in Indonesia, combining cognitive techniques with psychological and spiritual support, thus demonstrating its flexibility and effectiveness as a modern pedagogical tool.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Ihwan Agustono, Hajjar Darissalamah Firdaus https://jurnal.stiq-almultazam.ac.id/index.php/muhafidz/article/view/147 Religious Pluralism In Tafsir Al-Mizan: Thabathaba'i Perspective And Its Relevance In Multicultural Indonesia 2024-12-21T02:47:51+00:00 Lalu Abdul Gafar ghaffarelmadad0805@gmail.com Nurusshobah Nurusshobah Shobahnurus15@gmail.com
Indonesia's diverse society, with its multitude of ethnicities, religions, and cultures, stands as both a profound asset and a significant challenge. While this diversity is a source of immense social wealth, it can also lead to conflict if not properly managed. Religious tolerance plays a central role in ensuring social harmony, as religion often serves as a strong identity marker that may create divisions or competition among groups. In this context, Islamic moderation presents a peaceful way to combat radicalism and extremism. This study examines the views of Allama Tabatabai in his al-Mizan fi Tafsir al-Quran regarding religious pluralism, exploring its relevance to fostering tolerance and social unity in Indonesia. Using a qualitative, library-based research approach, data was gathered from various sources, including Qur'anic commentaries, academic journals, and related literature. The findings suggest that while religious pluralism can be a sensitive issue, it also offers a foundation for strengthening social tolerance. Thabathaba’i argues that salvation in the afterlife is not determined solely by one’s religion but by faith in God, belief in the Day of Judgment, and good deeds. This inclusive perspective offers a framework for understanding religious differences in Indonesia. Ultimately, the research demonstrates that understanding religious pluralism through Tabatabai's interpretation can promote a more harmonious and tolerant society, where Islamic moderation and respect for diversity are key to building social unity amid Indonesia’s diverse and globalized environment. This research is innovative in applying Tabatabai's thoughts to the Indonesian context, highlighting their potential for enhancing social harmony amidst diversity.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Lalu Abdul Gafar, Nurusshobah https://jurnal.stiq-almultazam.ac.id/index.php/muhafidz/article/view/154 The Influence Of Prayer On The Morals Of Muslim Adolescents In The Perspective Of Surat Al-Ankabut Verse 45 2025-01-24T08:25:11+00:00 Anggi Amelia Pertiwi anggiameliapertiwi24@gmail.com Zaky Mumtaz Ali zakymumtazali@gmail.com
Prayer plays an important role in shaping noble morals, as explained in the Qur’an. But, today’s teenagers face many challenges in the form of moral crises, evident from the rising cases of juvenile delinquency, some even leading to criminal acts. This shows that not all Muslim teenagers are able to reflect the values of prayer in their morals. This research aims to analyze the interpretation of Surah Al-Ankabut verse 45, which discusses the influence of prayer in preventing immoral and evil acts, and to measure how prayer influences the character if adolescents. This research uses a mixed method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative method is applied through the analysis of qur’anic interpretation using Analytical Exegesis (Al-Tafsir al-Tahlili) while the quantitative method is used to analyze numerical data using SPSS software. The research presents two main findings. First, according to the Qur’anic Exegetes, prayer effective in preventing immoral and wicked deeds must encompass three aspects: Fi‘liyah (implementation), Qauliyah (recitation), Qalbiyah (heart contemplation). Second, the quantitative analysis shows that prayer has a significant influence on students' morals, contributing 14,9%. These findings emphasize the importance of deep understanding and correct implementation of prayer in shaping good character among students. The novelty of this research is in its holistic approach to the practice of prayer, which not only measures the frequency of prayer but also assesses student understanding of prayer and the noble values contained in its practice.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Anggi Amelia Pertiwi, Zaky Mumtaz Ali https://jurnal.stiq-almultazam.ac.id/index.php/muhafidz/article/view/156 The Paradigm Of The Word Hanif In The Qur'an: A Study Of Mawdu'i Tafsir 2024-12-21T04:24:09+00:00 Sihabudin Sihabudin Syihabuddinachmad1000@gmail.com Abdullah Hadani hadaniabdullah@gmail.com
Mawdu’i commentary is a method of Quranic interpretation that analyzes a specific surah or gathers verses with similar themes under one topic. This study employs a mawdu’i approach to examine the meaning of hanif in the Qur’an, focusing on verses that explicitly contain the word without including its derivations. The objective is to determine the criteria of the hanif religion practiced by Prophet Ibrahim while comparing interpretations from Meccan and Medinan period verses. Additionally, this research explores scholarly perspectives to contextualize the concept of hanif in Islamic theology. Using a qualitative mawdu’i approach, this study integrates linguistic, theological, and historical analyses. Its novelty lies in the contextual comparison of Quranic revelations, offering a dynamic interpretation of hanif. The findings reveal five key characteristics of the hanif religion: an inclination toward monotheism, sincerity in worship, belief in all messengers of Allah, orientation toward the Kaaba and Hajj, and a strong commitment to affirming Allah’s Oneness. This research highlights the Quranic legitimacy of Islam as the continuation of Ibrahim’s millah, distinguishing it from Jewish and Christian claims. By providing a structured thematic analysis, this study enhances the understanding of hanif and its relevance in contemporary Islamic thought. It emphasizes hanif as a foundational principle of monotheism, guiding Muslims in faith and devotion to Allah.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Sihabudin Sihabudin, Abdullah Hadani https://jurnal.stiq-almultazam.ac.id/index.php/muhafidz/article/view/165 Marriage Is Scary Phenomenon In Indonesia: Analysis Of Quranic Response To Increases Marital Violence 2024-12-19T14:27:39+00:00 Abdul Qudus Al Faruq abdulqudusalfaruq@gmail.com Ahmad Yusam Thobroni ayusamth71@uinsa.ac.id Ahmad Miftahus Sudury ahmadmiftahussudury@gmail.com Indah Ayu Nurkumala indahkumala010@gmail.com Ikhwanul Mukminin ikhwanmukmin86@gmail.com
The phrase Marriage is Scary resonates in Indonesian society, influenced by rising Marital Violence or KDRT cases. The Central Bureau of Statistics reported a decrease in marriages from 1,695,255 in 2022 to 1,577,255 in 2023. Factors like patriarchal culture and inadequate education contribute to this issue. This study examines the Qur'an's perspective on gender harmony and its role in reducing violence and fostering harmonious households. Using a qualitative, critical-historical approach, the research integrates Asbabunnuzul and Qishshatul Qur’an with a correlational or Munasabah theory by library research method. Findings highlight the Qur'an's emphasis on premarital education, balanced roles between spouses, and prioritizing gender harmony to prevent violence. The study identifies examples of ideal households in the Qur'an, such as the families of Prophet Ibrahim and Imran, illustrating the importance of faith, patience, and mutual cooperation in achieving harmony. In the Indonesian context, where patriarchal norms and increasing marital violence contribute to marital anxiety, this study emphasizes the importance of Qur'anic teachings on justice, mutual respect and premarital preparation for building resilient households.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Abdul Qudus Al Faruq, Ahmad Yusam Thobroni, Ahmad Miftahus Sudury, Indah Ayu Nurkumala, Ikhwanul Mukminin https://jurnal.stiq-almultazam.ac.id/index.php/muhafidz/article/view/172 Deuteronomy Of Taghleeb In The Word Of Al-Abawani, Al-Masyriqani And Al-Bahrani In The Quran (Semantic Approach To The Quran) 2025-01-10T07:49:55+00:00 Muhammad Wildan Ali Fikri muhammadalifikri49@student.iqt.unida.gontor.ac.id Ahmad Fadly Rahman Akbar fadlyrahman@unida.gontor.ac.id Ahmad Suharto ahmadsuharto@unida.gontor.ac.id Ilham Habibulloh ilhamhabibullah@unida.gontor.ac.id
Some people only know the general form of tasniyah, even though there is another form, namely Deuteronomy of taghlib. Therefore, this research aims to discuss in detail the Deuteronomy of taghlib, especially in the three words as al-abawani, al-masyriqani, and al-bahrani. The novelty in the research is discussing the Deuteronomy of taghlib with Thosihiko Izutsu's Semantic Approach. Based on the literature reviewed, there has been limited in-depth discussion of the deuteronomy of taghlib. Therefore, this study argues that a detailed examination of the deuteronomy of taghlib in the Quran is essential. This research employed a library research. Followed by an analysis of the meanings of these three words based on Quranic semantics according to Thosihiko Izutsu, a Japanese linguist. The findings of this research indicate that the word al-abawani is the dual form of al-abu (father). In the Quran, al-abawani refers to both parents (father and mother) and is related to inheritance. In other verses, it refers to the two grandfathers of Prophet Yusuf: Prophet Ibrahim and Ishaq. In another context, al-abawani is interpreted as Adam and Eve in relation to their expulsion from Paradise. The word al-masyriqani is the dual form of masyriq, meaning "place of sunrise." In the Quran, al-masyriqani refers to the place of sunrise and sunset. In other verses, it is interpreted as the place of sunrise during summer and winter. Finally, the word al-bahrani is the dual form of al-bahru, meaning "sea." In the Quran, al-bahrani is interpreted as the meeting point of two seas.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Wildan Ali Fikri, Ahmad Fadly Rahman Akbar, Ahmad Suharto, Ilham Habibulloh https://jurnal.stiq-almultazam.ac.id/index.php/muhafidz/article/view/175 Istidraj As A Metaphor (Study Of Hermeneutic Interpretation) 2025-02-15T00:53:01+00:00 Nugraha Andri Afriza nugraha_andri@stain-madina.ac.id Qois Azizah Bin Has azizahasyim.94@gmail.com Muhammad Zaky Sya'bani mzaky@darulfattah.ac.id
This study discusses the sentence sanastadrijuhum in the Qur'an, which is known in society as istidraj. The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning of istidraj according to the exegetes in a metaphorical and hermeneutic perspective. This study is qualitative and descriptive and uses a literature review method. The data collection technique used is the Mau?u'i method (thematic analysis), while data analysis is carried out using a hermeneutic approach. The main source of this study is the Qur'an al-Karim, with supporting references from various tafsir books that are relevant to the theme. The study results show that, first, according to the exegetes, sanastadrijuhum is interpreted as a fall that occurs gradually and is almost imperceptible because it happens little by little. Allah SWT provides an opportunity to achieve a high position before being suddenly dropped. Second, metaphorically, istidraj has a satirical meaning, namely the postponement of punishment which is then given at once, both in the context of sin and goodness. Third, from a hermeneutic perspective, istidraj is a form of retribution that occurs through a certain process, either at a fast or slow tempo. This retribution is conveyed through various systematically arranged instruments, such as angels, humans, natural phenomena, or other events that appear natural.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Qois Azizah Bin Has, Abdul Nugraha Andri Afriza; Muhammad Zaky Sya'bani https://jurnal.stiq-almultazam.ac.id/index.php/muhafidz/article/view/177 Transformation Of Traditional Tafsir To Modern Perspective Of Fazlur Rahman's Hermeneutics 2025-01-15T04:25:12+00:00 Nurcahyati Nurcahyati yayanuryaya1@gmail.com Haqiqi Haqiqi haqiqi.bs7219@iiu.edu.pk
This article examines the transformation of tafsir from traditional to modern in the perspective of Fazlur Rahman's hermeneutics. This research was conducted using qualitative methodology with hermeneutic analysis to understand the mufassir's efforts in answering the challenges of the times in a more contextual and relevant way. The traditional textual approach is now replaced by a more unified hermeneutic method, combining social, historical and linguistic analysis. This allows Qur'anic interpretation to deepen meanings that are not only appropriate to the context of the past, but also relevant to modern social, political and cultural realities. The development of globalization and modernity has had a significant impact on the dynamics of tafsir, with modern mufassirs applying adaptive methods to address social issues. However, this transformation faces the challenge of maintaining a balance between innovation and respect for tradition and the authority of the sacred text. The interim conclusion of the study shows that changes in tafsir not only enrich the intellectual horizons of Islam, but also play an important role in developing an understanding and practice of the Qur'an that is more relevant to the context of modern society.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Nurcahyati Nurcahyati, Haqiqi Haqiqi https://jurnal.stiq-almultazam.ac.id/index.php/muhafidz/article/view/178 The Concept Of Property Management In The Qur'an And Its Implications In Social Life (Thematic Study According To Al-Azhar Tafsir) 2025-01-17T02:47:40+00:00 Hasya Sabila sabilahasya24@gmail.com Ayatullah Ayatullah ayatullah@stiqal-multazam.ac.id Suwarno Suwarno suwarno@stiq-almultazam.ac.id Rahmat Soleh rahmatsoleh@stiq-almultazam.ac.id Ahmad Yasin Alfaruq ahmadyasinalfaruq4@gmail.com
Social inequalities, such as poverty, limited education access, and wealth disparity, often stem from unjust wealth management. Islam, through the Qur'an, offers comprehensive guidelines on acquiring, consuming, purifying, distributing, and protecting wealth to benefit society. While Islamic finance has been widely studied, research linking wealth management to social implications remains limited. This study analyzes wealth management concepts in the Qur'an based on Tafsir Al-Azhar by Hamka and examines their impact on social welfare. Using a qualitative, literature-based approach with thematic tafsir, the study explores relevant Qur'anic verses in a modern socio-economic context. Findings reveal five key aspects of wealth management: halal acquisition emphasizing justice and spiritual balance, moderate consumption avoiding excess and miserliness, purification through zakat to reduce inequality, distribution via charity and waqf to foster social solidarity, and wealth protection through financial planning and inheritance for future security. The study confirms that applying Islamic wealth management principles can help reduce social inequality, improve welfare, and promote economic justice. It contributes to Islamic economic theory while offering practice al guidance fo individuals and policymakers to manage wealth fairly and sustainably.
2025-02-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Hasya Sabila, Ayatullah Ayatullah, Suwarno Suwarno, Rahmat Soleh, Ahmad Yasin Alfaruq
